I am a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) graduate from Saegis Campus with practical experience in system engineering, Linux administration, infrastructure monitoring, DevOps and cybersecurity.
During my internship at CloudVito Pvt Ltd, I worked across development, staging and production environments. My responsibilities included supporting Linux servers, maintaining DSpace repositories, monitoring infrastructure and working with Docker and Proxmox VE.
I am particularly interested in building reliable, observable and secure infrastructure while continuously improving deployment workflows through automation and modern DevOps practices.

This research explores an anomaly-based intrusion detection approach using an Autoencoder model to learn patterns of normal network traffic and identify potentially abnormal behaviour through reconstruction error analysis.
Explainability is incorporated using SHAP to provide insight into the features contributing to detected anomalies. The approach is designed as a foundation for a practical security monitoring workflow rather than relying only on predefined attack signatures.

Detection Pipeline
Network traffic is captured and transformed into flow-level data.
Traffic features are cleaned, prepared and normalized.
The model learns the representation of normal network behaviour.
Reconstruction error is calculated for incoming traffic.
SHAP is used to help interpret important contributing features.
Suspicious traffic can be highlighted for security analysis.
Proposed Architecture
The research demonstrates an anomaly-based detection approach and should not be interpreted as guaranteeing detection of every zero-day attack. Threshold selection, feature quality and real-world traffic conditions can affect detection performance.
